I am a gadget queen. If there is a gismo which saves me time and/or hassle, I’ll take it. Here are four gadgets to consider for your next business trip:
- The Kindle This is probably one of my favourite inventions. I love to read. With this handy reading tablet, I can take more books with me – even new bestsellers which are still in hardback. There’s nothing like a good book and a cup of coffee, but when I can’t have either, I at least have my Kindle.
- The Vicorinox Presentation Master Flight This super portable, tightly packed business tool does it all – and I mean all. With a 32GB removable flash drive, laser pointer, Bluetooth capability (to control power point presentations) AND a fingerprint biometric sensor for password protection, you will surely feel like a somewhat nerdy version of James Bond. Plus, it comes with or without sharp tools (for frequent flyers).
- The Tumi Scale This invention saves me time and money at check-in. I can plan each bag to maximize weight, and I know ahead of time if I will have to pay a baggage fee. Luckily, this tool helps me avoid those fees as much as possible.
- SteriPEN Traveler This is for those of you who travel off the beaten path… or frequent Mexico’s all-inclusives. SteriPEN harnesses the brilliant power of ultraviolet light to make water safe to drink. It eliminates over 99.9% of bacteria, viruses and protozoa that cause water-borne illness. Handy if you need to brush your teeth before a board meeting in a country without quality plumbing.
